Western Astrological calculation which is widely used in the Western World and can be found in most newspapers, makes a fundfundamental error in calculating the positions of the planets and the Sun.

Since the earth has a slight wobble while rotating on its axis, the spring or vernal equinox actually shifts backwards about 50 seconds each year. This is common knowledge to any astronomer worth his salt and also widely known and accepted by all Vedic astrologers. But somehow, this significant fact has been overlooked or ignored by all Western astrologers. Subsequently, the entire Western astrological zodiac is erroneously calculated. (For a more detailed explanation of this astronomical measurement, please refer to my article entitled “The Difference Between Vedic Astrology and Western Astrology”)

Your true and accurate Sun Sign may not be what you have been led to believe. In most cases, it will be the previous sign of the zodiac. For example, if you think you are a Virgo, you may well be a Leo. For some people, your Sun Sign will remain the same.

In the Vedic system, the Sun changes signs around the middle of each month, not the 22nd of each month as in Western astrology. For example, if you are born between April 13th and May 13th, your Sun sign is Aries in the Vedic system. Although your accurate Sun Sign is best determined through astrological calculation, it can be reasonably estimated using the following chart
